    A podcast link, MP3s, old tapes, voice notes. Any format, any audio quality. You don't need to organize anything first.

    Transcription

    Every shiur is transcribed word for word, including the Hebrew and Aramaic quotations.

    Structure

    Each shiur becomes a chapter. Spoken language is reshaped into written language: headings, paragraphs, transitions. The torah stays yours — the voice stays the rav's.

    Sources

    Every pasuk, Gemara, Midrash, Rishon, and Acharon quoted in the shiur is located and cited, with the original Hebrew text set alongside or in footnotes.

    Review

    You (or the rav, or the family) review every chapter before it's final. Nothing prints without approval. AI does the heavy lifting; a human — and ultimately you — signs off on every line of torah.

You send me two or three sample shiurim, I listen, and I quote you one fixed number for the entire project: transcription through printed books in your hands. If the scope is smaller — a single volume from 20 shiurim — the price is smaller. The quote is free and it's yours whether or not we work together.

Questions I get about turning shiurim into a sefer.

How accurate can AI be with torah content?
The AI does the transcription, structuring, and first-draft writing — the mechanical 80%. Every source is verified against the original text, and every chapter goes through human review and then your review. Nothing is printed until the rav or the family has approved every line. The technology makes this affordable; the approval process keeps it accurate.
What if the recordings are low quality?
Old tapes, echoey rooms, phone recordings — most of it is workable. I'll tell you honestly after hearing samples if any recordings are unusable, before you commit to anything.
Can the book be in Hebrew?
Yes. Three formats: English text with Hebrew sources quoted inline or in footnotes (the classic English sefer), full Hebrew, or facing-page bilingual. We decide together based on the audience the sefer is for.
How many shiurim make a book?
A typical 45-minute shiur becomes roughly 8–15 printed pages after editing. Around 30–60 shiurim fills a substantial single volume; a full 1,000 pages covers a multi-volume set or a life's series.
How long does it take?
Depends on the number of shiurim, but most single-volume projects run a few months from recordings to printed books — with your review rounds built into that timeline.
Who owns the finished book?
You do. Entirely. The manuscript, the print files, the rights. Print more copies anywhere, anytime, publish it commercially, or distribute it in the community — no ongoing fees to me.
Can each shiur really work as a chapter?
That's the core of the editing work. Spoken shiurim repeat, digress, and reference "last week." The rewrite removes what only worked live, keeps the voice and the chiddushim, and orders the chapters so the sefer reads as one continuous work — not sixty transcripts.
